Physiology: Much like their pre-evolution, Trumpmare resemble blue, distorted and broken musical instruments, this time a trumpet. It also has broken piping, which leaks blue mist. The valves on its back are angular and spiny, and can be used to adjust the sounds of its trademark call. Its arms are short and have three short claw-like fingers. Where the mouthpiece would be is an angular grey tail. Its head is narrowly connected to its body, and its bell-shaped head is flat. Its eyes are large, very dark navy, and typically closed. If it opens its eyes, they have the trademark six-spoked asterisk pattern for irises. Its mouth is also a very dark navy. A fermata-shaped mark is on its forehead. The tendrils on its head are longer, especially the ones on the side and top of its head. The tendril on the top of its head always curls in a specific direction depending on the gender.
Gender Differences: A male's top-most tendril curls clockwise, while a female's tendril curls counter-clockwise.
Special Abilities: Similar to Trembone, Trumpmare also possess a psychic network. Their psychic powers are far stronger than their previous form, giving them access to a wide variety of powerful Psychic and Ghost-type moves. In addition, they are capable of speaking (but to a limited extent), and inflicting terrorizing nightmares. They also have bones made of a metal similar to brass.
Behavior: If other Trembone are unable to handle or drive away an intruder, they intervene and inflict powerful psychic attacks on the intruder. If cornered, they will open their eyes at the aggressor.
Evolution: Trumpmare evolves from Trembone at level 25, then into Horrnor when traded.
Name Origins: "Trumpet" + "Nightmare"
Physical Origins: Trumpmare is based on a trumpet. It is also based on a monster seen in a nightmare scene of the final episode of the cartoon Courage the Cowardly Dog, "Perfect". Said creature is a warped, light blue humanoid with tendrils on its head, dark and tired eyes, and a whispery voice.
